No on Workforce Standards Board (HB 3838)
The Workforce Standards Board (HB3838) that we opposed last Legislative session is scheduled for a hearing in Salem this week. UOPA is monitoring this and will be in close contact with those directly affected and included in this latest version of the bill .
UOPA opposes HB 3838. Any other statement is false! In a message we shared several months ago, we expressed our satisfaction in convincing SEIU to exclude adult foster homes from new versions of the bill. However, it was also clear that we would still need to oppose it. And we are doing exactly that. As of last Friday, the 9th, we have been in direct contact with Legislators to reiterate that we continue to stand firm against it.
UOPA does not stand with the Union and is not affiliated with the Union in any capacity. Our loyalty has been and always will be to the Providers & Adult Care industry.
